| The LDGA and the Luther Britt Disc Golf Course was the topic of a recent article in the Features section of the Robesonian on March 7th. The article detailed the partnership between the LDGA and the Lumberton Parks and Recreation Department. The emphasis of the article was to inform the public of the sport of disc golf and the plans for the Luther Britt Disc Golf Course. |
| March18, 2007 Random Doubles at LBDGC |
| The LDGA will be setting up 18 Discatcher sports to play the course on Sunday March 18, 2007. Registration will begin at 11:00 am, with the drawing of teams to take place at "High Noon". | April 9, 2007 Installation To Begin at LBDGC |
| Installation of our course is set to begin on April 9, 2007. LDGA members will be installing Innova Discatcher targets and preparing the ground for concrete tee boxes. |
| April 13, 2007 Phase 1 Installation Complete at LBDGC |
| The first phase of the installation of the Luther Britt Disc Golf Course was completed on April 13, 2007. All 18 baskets are installed and ready for play. Each tee box was framed and leveled in preparation for the pouring of the concrete. Phase two will consist of the installation of the signs and the message board. Phase three will be the pouring of the concrete tees. All three phases are expected to be completed by the end of April. |
| May 3,2007 Inaugural Monthly Set for May 26 |
| The Luther Britt Disc Golf Course Monthly will be the 4th Saturday of each month. The format for the monthly will be two rounds of single play. The Inaugural tournament will be on May 26, 2007. On that day the first 15 to register will receive a free Innova Dx Disc and a mini marker. The next 15 to register will get a free mini marker. For more information, contact us here. |

| The Luther Britt Disc Golf Course Monthly was held on May 26, 2007. The first 15 players that registered received a free Innova Dx disc and mini marker. | June 14, 2007 Phase 2 Installation Complete at LBDGC |
| The second phase of the installation of the Luther Britt Disc Golf Course was completed on June 15, 2007. Concrete was poured into all of the tee box frames. Phase two was to consist of the installation of the signs and the message board. Phase three was completed first. All three phases are expected to be completed by the mid July. |
| August 1, 2007 Phase 3 Installation to Begin at LBDGC |
| The final phase of the installation of the Luther Britt Disc Golf Course will soon be completed. The completed signs were delivered by Military Wraps, a proud sponsor of the LDGA. The signs and tee markers should be installed by the end of the month, just in time for the Lumberton Monthly. |

| Discraft sponsors hundreds of tournaments in the fall of each year. The format is a one throw per hole Ace Race. Many of the holes are shortened and Discraft provides the grand prizes. | June 23, 2007 Record Day at LBDGC |
| Rory Joyce of Wilmington, NC was the first person to record an ace at Luther Britt Park. Rory's shot on #5 was during the first round of the Lumberton Monthly. He took home the first Ace Pool of $35 and set the single and double round record for the Green Course. His second round of 44 and total of 93 are official course records. His Ace will be immortalized on the LDGA Ace Banner, which will be displayed at every Lumberton Monthly. |
